Frequently asked questions
Who is it for?
UK small business owners and directors. Limited companies come first, and sole traders are welcome too. Business Manager is for the business: the organisation holds the account and can have several users.
How do I pay?
By Direct Debit, monthly. Prices are shown without VAT; VAT at 20% is added on your invoice. Your payments are protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee, and we tell you the amount and date before every collection.
Is there a minimum term?
No. The plan rolls monthly and you can cancel any time; it ends at your next billing date.
Can I change plan?
Yes. An upgrade starts straight away, and the new price is collected from your next payment. A downgrade starts at your next billing date.
Is the AI assistant legal or tax advice?
No. It gives general information from our guides and your own company profile. It will not tell you that you are compliant, and it points you to a qualified professional for investment advice, your specific tax position or a legal dispute. You can ask a partner expert on the Growth and Pro plans.
Are the contract templates legal advice?
No. Each template is marked "review before relying on it; not legal advice" and shows its version and date. For anything unusual, ask a solicitor.
Where is my data kept?
In the UK, on our own server. Files are stored under random names with a checksum, and every access to a shared file is recorded. Read the draft privacy notice for the detail.
Can my accountant see my files?
Only if you invite them with the accountant role or share a file or folder with an expiring link. Accountant sharing is part of the Growth and Pro plans.
How does Business Manager relate to WeFund Business?
